ATTORNEY JOHN W. LEEJohn W. Lee has been practicing law in the Hampton Roads area since 1998. John began practicing bankruptcy law in Norfolk, VA after graduating from Regent University School of Law in 1998. Since then, John has expanded his practice areas to include bankruptcy, divorce, criminal, traffic violations, wills and estates, contract negotiations, domestic relations and adoptions. John W. Lee, a life long resident of Hampton Roads, graduated from Kellam High School in 1991. During his years at Kellam High School, John was on the debate team, chess team and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. John attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where he graduated with a degree in Government, with a minor in philosophy. John graduated from Regent University School of Law in 1998, and passed the Virginia State Bar that same year. John W. Lee, joined a Firm in Norfolk, VA where he handled mostly bankruptcy cases until he moved to Hampton, VA in 2000. In 2002, John started the Law Office John W. Lee, P.C. in Hampton, VA. In 2006 the second location was opened in Virginia Beach. He is admitted to practice in all Virginia courts and the before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. John has been a member of the Hampton Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, and The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. John W. Lee enjoys boating, traveling and studying history. John lives in Newport News, VA with his wife. |
ATTORNEY MICHAEL D. THOMAS
He has represented thousands of Hampton Roads’ residents in the areas of traffic law, criminal law, divorce, juvenile law, domestic relations and bankruptcy law. Michael is originally from southwest Virginia where he graduated second in his high school class. He went on to receive a BBA in accounting at The College of William & Mary. After receiving his bar, Michael worked briefly with the commonwealth’s attorney’s office where he practiced criminal law. As a practicing attorney he loves a challenge and enjoys finding solutions to his client’s problems and concerns. Michael Thomas likes to go fishing and making specialty candies in his free time. Michael lives in Newport News with his wife and young daughter. |
ATTORNEY SETH SCHOENFELD
Seth graduated in 1996 from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Seth attended Touro Law Center in Huntington, New York and graduated in 2002. Seth was admitted to practice law in New York in 2003. Seth moved with his family from New York to Norfolk, Virginia in 2004 and was admitted to practice Law in Virginia in 2005. Seth was admitted to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in 2006. Seth is an active member of the B’nai Israel Orthodox congregation of Tidewater. Seth is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar Association. |
ATTORNEY KIM LEWIS
She has been in private practice in Hampton, Virginia since 1988. The focus of her practice has been primarily family law, bankruptcy and criminal defense. She also works with Transitions to provide affordable representation for victims of domestic violence. |
ATTORNEY DANIEL I MILLER
Mr. Miller’s primary area of practice is family law, including divorce, custody, support, and property distribution, traffic, estate, and bankruptcy matters. He has handled sensitive domestic situations for thousands of clients and understands the emotional turmoil many of his clients endure. Mr. Miller graduated magna cum laude in 1995 from University of South Alabama with a B.A. in political science and minor in business. Mr. Miller is also a seven time state chess champion and is currently ranked in the top 200 players in the nation. |
ATTORNEY TIMOTHY ROY DOUGLASS
He has been licensed to practice law since October of 2006 and his primary legal experience includes domestic law, criminal law, estate planning and administration. His non-legal experience includes working in Cochabamba, Bolivia as an administrator for Hospitals of Hope to build a pediatric hospital in that region. |
ATTORNEY KEVIN FRANK
It was during that time that he met his wife Traci who he married in 2005. Kevin resides in Virginia Beach with Traci and their four boys. Kevin has been an active member of his church choir for over 12 years and coaches youth baseball, basketball and soccer. Kevin in licensed to practice in all Virginia Courts. He currently practices all aspects of criminal defense, traffic, DUI, civil law, personal injury, warrant in debt, and landlord/tenant law. |
ATTORNEY SHANNA C HARRIS
Shanna moved to Virginia in 2004 to be with her husband, who is a nuclear engineer in the United States Navy. She joined the firm of John W. Lee in 2009, studying under the mentorship of John Lee and Kim Lewis. She became a Staff Attorney upon being admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of Virginia in 2010. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Shanna primarily practices in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, and criminal law. |
